How much does axe throwing cost?
$20 per person for a one-hour weekday lane (Wednesday and Thursday) and $27 for two weekday hours. On the weekend, Friday to Sunday, it's $27 per person for an hour and $33 for two. Groups of 10 or more are $25 per person and always get a full two hours.
Do I need a reservation, or can I walk in?
Walk-ons are welcome any time we're open. Reservations are encouraged for a guaranteed spot, especially on weekends. Pint Night on Thursdays, 6–8pm, is walk-on only. No reservation, just turn up.
What are your hours?
Wednesday to Friday 2–8pm, Saturday 12–10pm, Sunday 12–6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

215 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Inside The Plant, in Chatham County. We draw regularly from Pittsboro, Siler City, Chapel Hill, Apex and Sanford.
How old do you have to be to throw an axe?
All ages can throw. Axe throwers 18 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times during their throwing session.
What should I wear?
Closed-toe shoes are required. No open-toed shoes are permitted. Otherwise wear something you can swing in. The lanes are outdoors and run rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
Do I need any experience?
None. A coach is on the lane with you the whole session, first throw to last, and instructs every participant on proper technique and safety. Most people are sticking the target within minutes.
Is it safe?
A coach is on the lane for the entire session. Closed-toe shoes are required, throwers stay behind the throw line until it's their turn, and axe sharing is not permitted.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes. Everyone who throws signs the Chatham Axes, Inc. liability waiver. You can sign it online before you arrive so you're throwing rather than filling in forms at the counter.
Are the lanes indoors or outdoors?
Outdoor lanes, rain or shine.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
No outside food or drink is permitted in the throwing area. Food and drink are available from the on-site vendors at The Plant, a few steps from the throw line.
Can you host a birthday, corporate event or bachelorette party?
Yes. A booking of 10 or more takes all four outdoor lanes for a full two hours at $25 per person, so the group has the place to itself. We also run tournaments and coached team-building games.
Can you bring axe throwing to us?
Yes. The Mobile Throwing Unit brings caged lanes, targets, axes and a coach to your event: $550 for two hours or $750 for three. All it needs is level ground and room to park.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards are available in the Pro Shop and work toward lane time and mobile-unit events.
What's on during the week?
League Night on Wednesdays, Pint Night on Thursdays 6–8pm, Singles Throw on Fridays and Couples Throw on Saturdays, plus a Golden Axe saga that runs all month.
