Chatham Axes › Axe throwing near Chapel Hill
Axe Throwing near Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill doesn't have a throwing venue of its own. Chatham Axes is the closest
one — outdoor coached lanes at The Plant in Pittsboro, just over the Chatham County line, and
the trip is worth making because the site around the lanes is a whole afternoon.
Make the drive worth it
The lanes are one tenant of The Plant, so you don't have to plan a second stop:
- Eat: Kingston 99 Kitchen (Jamaican), Ta Contento (Mexican), Little Havana Cafe (Cuban),
Koshu Sake Bar (ramen and sake), Metal Brixx Cafe (coffee and bites).
- Drink: bmc brewing, Fair Game Beverage Co.'s NC tasting room, Starrlight Mead.
- Thursdays: Pint Night, 6–8pm — free bmc brewing pint with your axe session,
21+ with valid ID. Walk-on only.
