Chatham Axes › Corporate team building
Corporate Team Building
An axe in the hand gets a team talking faster than an icebreaker ever will. Book all
four outdoor lanes for your group, then run coached team-building games where a caller keeps score
and manages the match from the lobby.
Why it works better than the usual offsite
- Nobody is bad at it for long. Coaches teach every participant, so the quiet person on
the team is sticking bullseyes inside ten minutes.
- It has a scoreboard. Coached games with a caller keeping score give the day structure
rather than an hour of milling around.
- It is outdoors. Open-air lanes, rain or shine — not a windowless conference room.
- Food is solved. The Plant's kitchens and taprooms are a few steps from the throw line.
Two ways to run it
💼 At our lanes
10 or more throwers takes all four outdoor lanes
for a full two hours at $25 per person. Coaches and scoring included.

🚛 At your offsite

targets, axes and a coach to you. $550 for two hours, $750 for three. Needs level ground and room
to park.

Common questions
How much is a corporate axe throwing event?
Groups of 10 or more are $25 per person for a full two hours across all four outdoor lanes. If you'd rather we came to your office or offsite venue, the Mobile Throwing Unit is $550 for two hours or $750 for three.
How big a group can you take?
A 10+ booking takes all four outdoor lanes for two hours running side by side. Tell us your headcount and occasion and staff will confirm the lane plan before the date.
Do you run the activity, or do we?
A coach is on the lane for the entire session, teaching every participant proper technique and safety. We can also run coached team-building games where a caller keeps score and manages the match from the lobby.
Is it safe for a mixed-ability team?
Yes. Nobody needs experience. Coaches instruct every participant on technique and safety, closed-toe shoes are required, throwers stay behind the line until it's their turn, and axe sharing isn't permitted.
Can we eat and drink with the team afterwards?
The lanes are at The Plant in Pittsboro, so a Jamaican kitchen, a taqueria, a Cuban cafe, a coffee bar, a ramen and sake bar, a brewery, a meadery and an NC tasting room are all within a short walk. No outside food or drink in the throwing area.
How far is it from Chapel Hill, Raleigh or Durham?
Chatham Axes is at 215 Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, NC 27312, in Chatham County. We regularly host teams from Chapel Hill, Siler City, Apex and Sanford.
